నేరము లెన్నడును గలుగ నేరవు మఱి యా
కూరిమి విరసంబైనను

ఓ సుమతీ! ఇతరులతో స్నేహముగా ఉన్నప్పుడు వారిలో ఎటువంటి తప్పులు మనకు కనిపించవు. కానీ ఆ స్నేహము చెడిపోయి విరోధముగా మారినప్పుడు, వారిలో అన్నీ తప్పులే కనిపిస్తాయి. ఇది లోక సహజమైన నిజము.

Oh Sumati! During the days when friendship is strong, one never notices any faults in the other person. However, if that friendship turns sour or discordant, only faults and mistakes become visible. This is the absolute truth of human nature.
