Meaning

In English

You remain unaware of the Divine that resides within your own heart. Vemana advises that instead of seeking God externally, one should treat the body as a temple, install the Divine within, abandon worldly distractions, and look inward with spiritual vision to realize the Truth.

Modern relevance

In a world obsessed with materialism and external validation, this verse serves as a powerful reminder that true peace and divinity lie within. It encourages self-care and introspection, suggesting that we should treat our bodies and minds with sanctity—like a temple—rather than polluting them with toxic worldly concerns. By turning our focus inward, we can find the clarity and purpose that external achievements often fail to provide.
