వేదాంతులు బ్రహ్మము గురించి గొప్పగా ఉపన్యాసాలు ఇస్తారు, కానీ ఆ బ్రహ్మము ఎక్కడో లేడు, మనలోనే మనకు అత్యంత సమీపంలో ఉన్నాడు. మనుషులు తమ కళ్ళ ముందే (తమలోనే) ఉన్న ఆత్మ అనే ప్రత్యక్ష సాక్ష్యాన్ని గుర్తించలేక బయట వెతుకుతున్నారు.

Philosophers endlessly debate and discuss the nature of the Supreme Reality (Brahman), often searching for it in distant concepts. However, if one examines reality properly, the Divine is right here, within us. Vemana laments that people fail to see the evident 'seal' or sign of Divinity (the Soul) that is present right in front of them.
