లోకంలో వ్యర్థమైన పనులు చేసే కులాలు, కేవలం బిరుదుల కోసం పాకులాడే అహంకార కులాలు ఉన్నాయి. కానీ సమస్త జీవరాశులకు అన్నం పెట్టి పోషించే (రైతు) కులమే గొప్పది. ఆడంబరాల కోసం జీవించే వారు దైవానికి (శివునికి) దూరంగా ఉంటారు; పరోపకారం చేసేవారే దైవానికి దగ్గరవుతారు. ఈ తారతమ్యాన్ని గ్రహించినవాడే విజ్ఞాని.
