భాగ్యహీనులకును వరుసవేది దొరుక
నదియు నిల్వదపుడు వదలుఁగాక
వానతోడ వచ్చువడగండ్లు నిలుచునా
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

దురదృష్టవంతుడికి ఇనుమును బంగారంగా మార్చే అద్భుతమైన 'పరుసవేది' దొరికినా అది అతడి వద్ద నిలువదు, ఏదో ఒక విధంగా చేజారిపోతుంది. ఇది ఎలాగంటే, వానతో పాటు పడే వడగండ్లు చూడటానికి రాళ్లలా ఉన్నా, అవి ఎంతో సేపు నిలువకుండా వెంటనే కరిగిపోతాయి. అలాగే అదృష్టం లేనివారికి సంపద దొరికినా అది శాశ్వతం కాదు.
