భయ ముడిగిన నిశ్చయంబు పరమాత్మునిదే
లయమంతయు దేహముదే

భయం, చావు అనేవి కేవలం నశ్వరమైన శరీరానికి సంబంధించినవి. ఆ భయం తొలగినప్పుడు కలిగే నిశ్చలత్వమే పరమాత్మ స్వరూపం. శరీరం నశించినా, ఆత్మకు నాశనం లేదు; కాబట్టి నిజమైన విజయం శాశ్వతమైన జీవునిదే అని వేమన బోధిస్తున్నాడు.
