హఠయోగులు ముక్కులో త్రాళ్ళు దూర్చి (నేతి క్రియ), కడుపులో నీళ్ళు నింపి (ధౌతి క్రియ) శరీరాన్ని ఎంత శుభ్రం చేసినా ప్రయోజనం లేదు. కేవలం బాహ్యమైన లేదా శారీరకమైన శుద్ధి వల్ల పరమాత్మ తత్వం బోధపడదు; చిత్తశుద్ధి ఉంటేనే మోక్షం లభిస్తుంది.
