తినగ, దున్న, పాలుకొనగ బుట్టి
కష్టపడును గాని కర్మ మీడేరదే!
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినురవేమ!

mṛgamulanu, narulaku mēlugā paśuvulu tinaga, dunna, pālukonaga buṭṭi kaṣṭapaḍunu gāni karma mīḍēradē! viśvadābhirāma vinuravēma!

అడవి జంతువుల కంటే పశువులు మనుషులకి ఎంతో ఉపయోగపడతాయి. అవి పుట్టినప్పటి నుండి మేత మేస్తూ, పొలాలు దున్నుతూ, పాలు ఇస్తూ ఎంతో కష్టపడతాయి. కానీ జ్ఞానం లేకపోవడం వల్ల వాటికి ఆ కష్టమే మిగులుతుంది తప్ప, కర్మ బంధాల నుండి మోక్షం లభించదు. అలాగే, భక్తి జ్ఞానాలు లేకుండా కేవలం కష్టపడినా మానవులకు ముక్తి దొరకదని భావం.

Cattle are far more useful to humans than wild beasts; they are born to graze, plough fields, and give milk. Despite a life of relentless hard work and service, they do not attain liberation (Moksha) from their karma.
