మఠాలలో నివసించే యోగి కేవలం వేషధారణకే పరిమితం కాకుండా, తనలోని అజ్ఞానపు మాయలను తొలగించుకోవాలి. తన శరీరమనే కుండలో అంతర్యామిగా ఉన్న పరమాత్మను గుర్తించి, ప్రతి మాటలోనూ ఆ దైవగురువును మరువకుండా స్మరిస్తూ ఉండాలి. బాహ్య ఆడంబరాల కంటే అంతర్ముఖుడై దైవాన్ని తెలుసుకోవడమే నిజమైన యోగి లక్షణం.

A true yogi, even one living in a monastery, must first sever all worldly illusions and realize that the Supreme Soul resides within his own body (the pot).
