భక్తి శ్రద్ధలతో, మనసు లగ్నం చేసి చేసే పూజనే దేవుడు (శివుడు) మెచ్చుకుంటాడు. మనసు ఎంత నిలకడగా ఉంటే మనిషి అంత ఉన్నతుడు అవుతాడు. ఏకాగ్రత, చిత్తశుద్ధి లేకుండా చేసే పూజ మట్టితో సమానము, అనగా నిష్ప్రయోజనము.
