ఆశలనెడు తాళ్ళ నమరఁ గోయగఁ జేసి
పారవైవఁగాని పరములేదు
కొక్కు తిండియాసఁ జిక్కి చచ్చినయట్లు
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

తిండి మీద ఆశతో పందికొక్కు బోనులో చిక్కుకొని ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోతుంది. అలాగే మానవుడు కూడా ఆశలనే తాళ్ళతో బంధింపబడి ఉన్నాడు. ఆ ఆశలనే బంధాలను తెంచుకొని, వాటిని దూరంగా విసిరివేస్తే తప్ప మానవునికి మోక్షం లభించదు.

Just as a bandicoot is lured into a trap by the desire for food and loses its life, humans are bound by the ropes of worldly desires. Unless one firmly cuts these ropes and discards them, attaining salvation (Moksha) is impossible.
