వేష మొనరఁగట్టి వెలయ శూద్రత్వంబు
తనకు లేదనుకొను ధరణి ద్విజుఁడు
అరిది గిట్టువేళ నడఁగు ద్విజత్వంబు
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

భావం · Meaning
బ్రాహ్మణుడు వేషధారణతో తనలో శూద్రత్వము (అజ్ఞానము) లేదని విర్రవీగుతాడు. కానీ ప్రాణము పోయే కష్ట సమయములో ఈ కుల భేదాలు, బ్రాహ్మణత్వము ఏవీ మిగలవు; మరణం అందరికీ సమానమే అని భావము.
In English
A Brahmin may wear the sacred attire and arrogantly believe he possesses no lowliness or ignorance. However, when the inevitable and difficult moment of death arrives, his caste status and 'Brahminhood' vanish, proving that such distinctions are temporary and physical.
