రాయిని చెక్కి విగ్రహంగా చేసి, దానిని చీకటి గదిలో (గుడిలో) పెట్టి పూజించే ఓ అజ్ఞానులారా! దేవుడు బయట ఎక్కడో లేడు, మీ హృదయంలోనే ఉన్నాడన్న పరమ సత్యాన్ని మీరు గ్రహించలేకపోతున్నారు. బాహ్య పూజల కంటే అంతరాత్మలో దైవాన్ని దర్శించడం ముఖ్యమని వేమన బోధిస్తున్నాడు.
