పరులఁ గొల్చు నేల బ్రాహ్మణుండు
హరునిభక్తజనుల యగ్రజు లగుఁ గాదె

వేదాలన్నీ శివుడే పరబ్రహ్మమని ఘోషిస్తుండగా, బ్రాహ్మణులు ఆ సత్యాన్ని వదిలి అన్య దైవాలను లేదా మనుషులను ఎందుకు కొలుస్తారు? కులంతో పనిలేకుండా, శివుని యందు భక్తి కలిగినవారే నిజమైన అగ్రజులు (బ్రాహ్మణులు) అని వేమన భావం.
