వేఱె దైవములను వేయిగొల్చి
బ్రహ్మజనులు చూడ భ్రష్టులైపోయిరి
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

శివుడే పరబ్రహ్మమని సకల శాస్త్రాలు ఘోషిస్తుంటే, ఆ పరమ సత్యాన్ని గ్రహించలేక, వేయి ఇతర క్షుద్ర దైవాలను కొలుస్తూ బ్రాహ్మణులు (లేదా పండితులు) తమ ఔన్నత్యాన్ని కోల్పోయి భ్రష్టులవుతున్నారు. ఏకైక దైవత్వాన్ని విస్మరించి అనేక రూపాల వెంట పడటం అజ్ఞానమని వేమన భావం.
