కేవలం పుట్టుకతోనో లేక వేషధారణతోనో ఎవరూ ద్విజులు (జ్ఞానులు) కాలేరు. యోగ ఆసనాలను, అంతరంగిక రహస్య క్రియలను గురువు ద్వారా తెలుసుకొని, వాటిని శ్రద్ధగా అభ్యసిస్తూ, చంచలమైన మనసును నిశ్చలంగా నిలిపినవాడే నిజమైన ద్విజుడు అవుతాడు. ఆత్మజ్ఞానం లేనిదే బాహ్య ఆచారాలు వ్యర్థమని భావం.

One cannot become a 'Dvija' (twice-born or spiritually awakened) merely by birth or external rituals. True spiritual status is achieved only by learning the proper yogic postures and secret inner techniques from a Guru, practicing them diligently, and successfully controlling the wavering mind. Without mental discipline and practical realization, external status is meaningless.
