పట్టలేక మనసు పాఱవిడిచి
కన్నుపోయి పిదప కాకిచందం బయ్యె
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

ఎంతటి జ్ఞాని అయినా, రాబోయేది తెలిసిన వాడైనా, సమయానికి తన మనసును అదుపులో ఉంచుకోకపోతే కష్టాలపాలవుతాడు. వామనుడు విష్ణువని తెలిసినా, దానాన్ని అడ్డుకోవాలన్న బుద్ధిని నిగ్రహించుకోలేక శుక్రచార్యుడు కన్ను పోగొట్టుకొని కాకి వలె ఏకాక్షి అయ్యాడు. జ్ఞానం ఉన్నా నిగ్రహం లేకపోతే అనర్థం తప్పదు.

Even a person of immense wisdom and foresight, like Shukracharya, can face disgrace if they lack mental self-control. Despite knowing the divine truth, Shukracharya could not restrain his impulse to obstruct a charitable act, leading to the loss of his eye and reducing him to the state of a one-eyed crow. Knowledge without self-restraint is futile.
