మాలకంటె మగఁడు మాలయనుచు
ద్విజుఁడ నేనటన్న ద్విజుఁడు కానేర్చునా
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

కులగజ్జితో ఇతరులను శూద్రులని, మాలలని నిందించేవాడు, ఆ మాలవాని కంటె హీనుడు. కేవలం నోటితో 'నేను బ్రాహ్మణుడను' అని చెప్పుకున్నంత మాత్రాన ఎవరూ బ్రాహ్మణులు కాలేరు; గుణము ప్రధానము కానీ కులము కాదు.
