ద్విజుఁడ ననెడిపేరు నిజముఁజేసి
మనసు నిల్పకున్న మఱిశూద్ర నీచుండు
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

శూద్ర కులంలో పుట్టి, తన జాతివారినే నిందిస్తూ, తాను ద్విజుడనని (బ్రాహ్మణుడనని) గొప్పలు చెప్పుకున్నంత మాత్రాన ఎవరూ గొప్పవారు కాలేరు. చంచలమైన మనస్సును నిగ్రహించుకోలేనివాడు, ఏ కులంలో ఉన్నా, ఏ పేరు పెట్టుకున్నా నీచుడైన శూద్రుడితో సమానమే. కులం కన్నా గుణం, మనోనిగ్రహం ప్రధానమని భావం.
