మెలఁగునట్టి ద్విజులు మేదినందు
యమునినరకములకు నరుగంగ నది సాక్షి
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

తమలో ఉన్న పరమాత్మను తెలుసుకోకుండా, అల్పబుద్ధితో ప్రవర్తించే బ్రాహ్మణులు (ద్విజులు) ఈ భూమిపై ఎంత గొప్పవారమని అనుకున్నా, వారు తప్పక యముని నరకానికి వెళతారు. ఆత్మజ్ఞానం లేకపోవడమే వారు నరకానికి వెళతారనడానికి ప్రబల సాక్ష్యం.

Brahmins (twice-borns) who live on this earth with petty intellects, failing to realize the indwelling Supreme Soul, will inevitably go to the hells of Yama. Their very lack of spiritual wisdom serves as the witness and cause for their suffering.
