Meaning
In English
Delusion and desire arise naturally in everyone, regardless of their stature or wisdom. However, true realization comes to those who actively suppress this arising delusion, firm up their mind, and look within. By conquering these distractions, one can perceive the Ultimate Reality (Brahman).
Modern relevance
In contemporary life, even the most successful or intelligent people face distractions, temptations, and momentary lapses in judgment. This verse teaches that the key to success and peace is not the absence of these distractions, but the ability to recognize and suppress them immediately ('trample' them). By maintaining mental discipline and focus, one can achieve their highest goals and find inner truth.
