చేతిలో పవిత్రమైన అగ్నిని పట్టుకొని యజ్ఞాలు చేసినంత మాత్రాన సరిపోదు; దైవనింద చేస్తే ఫలితం శూన్యం. దక్షుడు గొప్ప యజ్ఞం చేస్తూ కూడా పరమేశ్వరుడైన శివుని నిందించినందువల్ల, అతడు మరియు అతనిని అనుసరించినవారందరూ నాశనమయ్యారు. బాహ్య ఆడంబరాల కన్నా భక్తి, గౌరవం ముఖ్యమని దక్షయజ్ఞ ఉదంతం మనకు తెలియజేస్తుంది.

Merely holding the sacred fire and performing rituals is futile if one harbors arrogance and insults the Divine. Daksha Prajapati, despite performing a great sacrifice (Yajna), perished along with his followers because he insulted Lord Shiva.
