Meaning
In English
There is no greater happiness in this world than true wisdom or self-awareness ('Eruka'). However, very few possess the capacity to truly understand this wisdom. Self-knowledge stands alone as the ultimate truth; no other philosophy or principle can equal it.
Modern relevance
In today's fast-paced world driven by material pursuits, this verse serves as a reminder that true happiness comes from within through self-awareness (emotional intelligence and mindfulness). It suggests that understanding oneself is the highest form of knowledge, superior to external validations or complex theories.
