దా నొక్కఁడు రాగియాయె నినుబోలు మహాత్మునిఁగాన మెచ్చట

ఈ లోకంలో ఒకడు రోగిగా, ఒకడు త్యాగిగా, ఒకడు భోగిగా, ఒకడు యోగిగా, మరొకడు రాగిగా కనిపిస్తుంటారు. కానీ ఈ వైవిధ్యమైన రూపాలన్నీ ధరించగలిగిన నీవంటి మహాత్ముడు ఎక్కడా కనిపించడు. ఓ వేమనా! పరమాత్మ స్వరూపంగా లేదా ఆత్మజ్ఞానిగా ఈ అన్ని రూపాలు నీకే చెల్లుతాయి (నీవే ఇన్ని రూపాలలో ఉన్నావు అని భావం).
In English
In this world, one appears as sick, another as a renouncer, one as an enjoyer, another as a yogi, and yet another as passionate. However, I do not see a great soul like you anywhere who encompasses all these states. Truly, O Vemana, all these diverse forms fit you alone (implying that the realized soul or the Divine manifests in all these contrasting roles).
