వెన్నెల చీఁకటి సరి యగు
నన్నా శివంగమాయ లన్నియు వేమా!

భావం · Meaning
కనురెప్పలు ఎలాగైతే కొంతసేపు తెరుచుకొని, బరువుెక్కినప్పుడు (నిద్రలో లేదా మరణంలో) ఒక్కసారిగా మూసుకుపోతాయో, సంపద కూడా అలాగే కొంతకాలం ఉండి, భారమై అంతరించిపోతుంది. కన్ను మూసినప్పుడు వెన్నెలైనా, చీకటైనా ఒక్కటే అయినట్లు, సంపద పోయినప్పుడు లేదా మరణం సంభవించినప్పుడు సుఖదుఃఖాలు సమానమౌతాయి. ఓ సోదరుడా! ఇదంతా ఆ శివుని మాయ అని గ్రహించు.

Wealth is transient, much like the eyelids that stay open for a while but eventually grow heavy and close suddenly. Just as moonlight and darkness become indistinguishable when the eyes are closed, the dualities of life (pleasure and pain) lose their distinction when wealth vanishes or life ends. Oh brother, realize that all this worldly existence is merely the grand illusion (Maya) of Shiva.
