కాశి, మధుర, కంచి వంటి పుణ్యక్షేత్రాలలో నివసించినంత మాత్రాన ముక్తి లభించదు. ఆ క్షేత్రాలను కేవలం బయట చూస్తూ, తనలో ఉన్న దైవత్వాన్ని లేదా పరమాత్మ అనే నిజమైన సుగంధాన్ని (వాసనను) గ్రహించలేకపోవడం అవివేకం. బాహ్య ప్రయాణాల కంటే అంతర్ముఖ జ్ఞానమే ముఖ్యమని భావం.
