కాశీ నుండి గంగాజలాన్ని మోసుకుంటూ, కాళ్లు ముఖం వాచిపోయేలా, శరీరం ఎండిపోయేలా కష్టపడి తీర్థయాత్రలు చేసినంత మాత్రాన ప్రయోజనం లేదు. బ్రతికున్నప్పుడు సుఖశాంతులు ఎరుగని వారు, కేవలం శారీరక కష్టంతో చనిపోయిన తర్వాత మోక్షాన్ని ఎలా సాధించగలరు? బాహ్య ఆచారాల కంటే అంతఃశుద్ధి ముఖ్యమని భావం.
