సన్యాసుల వేషం వేసినంత మాత్రాన భక్తి కలగదు. కోడికి ఉండే చంచలమైన బుద్ధి (కామము/ఆకలి), కొంగకు ఉండే కపట ధ్యానము (మోసము) నేటి సన్యాసుల నుదుటి రాతలుగా మారాయి. వారు పూర్వజన్మలో చేసిన పాపఫలం వల్లే వారికి ఇటువంటి దుర్బుద్ధులు కలిగాయని వేమన ఎద్దేవా చేస్తున్నాడు.
