చంద్రునంతవాడె శాపంబుచేతను
కళల హీనమంద గలిగె గదర
పుడమి జనులకెల్ల బుద్దులిట్లుండురా!
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినురవేమ!

చంద్రుని అంతటి గొప్పవాడు కూడా శాపవశాత్తు తన కళలను కోల్పోయి క్షీణించక తప్పలేదు. అలాగే ఈ భూమిపై సామాన్య మానవుల బుద్ధులు, తలరాతలు కూడా కర్మఫలానికి లోబడి ఉంటాయి; కష్టసుఖాలు ఎవరికీ తప్పవు.
