కేవలం పుస్తకాలు చదివి పాండిత్యం సంపాదించినా, కర్మ యొక్క నిజమైన సారాన్ని గ్రహించలేనివాడు వ్యర్థుడు. వాడు పుణ్యక్షేత్రాలంటూ దేశమంతా తిరిగి అలసిపోయి, కోరికలకు బానిసై, కుక్కలాగా అరుస్తూ (వ్యర్థ ప్రలాపాలు చేస్తూ), అహంకారంతో మదించి చివరికి మరణిస్తాడు. ఆత్మజ్ఞానం లేని చదువు, తిరుగుళ్ళు నిష్ప్రయోజనమని భావం.
