జోకవీడి చేతిసొమ్మెలఁ బోఁజేసి

దేవుడు తమ హృదయంలోనే (లేదా తాము ఉన్నచోటనే) ఉన్నాడని గ్రహించలేని అజ్ఞానులు, దేవుని వెతుకుతూ పుణ్యక్షేత్రాల చుట్టూ తిరుగుతారు. ఈ ప్రయాణాలలో తమ సుఖాన్ని కోల్పోయి, చేతిలోని డబ్బును వృధా చేసుకుని, చివరకు అలసిపోయి తిరిగి తమ ఇంటికే చేరుకుంటారు. దైవం బయట ఎక్కడో లేదు, మనలోనే ఉందనే సత్యాన్ని వేమన ఈ పద్యంలో బోధించారు.
