పోయె ననెడి దెల్ల బుద్ధి కొదువ
మనసులకును త్రాడు మఱివన్నెఁ దెచ్చునా
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

మెడలో జంధ్యము వేసుకున్నంత మాత్రాన మనిషిలోని నీచ గుణము పోదు. బాహ్యమైన వేషధారణ వల్ల కులము మారుతుందని లేదా పవిత్రత సిద్ధిస్తుందని భావించడం అవివేకం. ఆ త్రాడు మనసుకు ఎటువంటి సంస్కారాన్ని లేదా గొప్పదనాన్ని తీసుకురాలేదు. గుణము ప్రధానమే తప్ప వేషము కాదు.
