తిరిపెమందుఁ దాను దిరిపె మిడినఁ
తిరిపెము తిరిపమున దిగఁబడిపోవురా
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినర వేమ!

బిచ్చగాడు తాను అడుక్కుని తెచ్చిన భిక్షలో నుండి ఇతరులకు దానము చేసినంత మాత్రాన అది గొప్ప దానము అనిపించుకోదు. అట్లు చేసిన దానము, అతడు చేసిన యాచనలోనే కలిసిపోయి నిష్ప్రయోజనము అవుతుంది. కష్టపడి సంపాదించిన దానిలో నుండి ఇచ్చేదే నిజమైన దానము.

If a beggar collects alms and then tries to give charity from that very collection, it holds no merit. Such charity simply 'sinks' back into the nature of begging, effectively canceling itself out.
