శరీరంలో ప్రాణరూపంలో ఉన్న భగవంతుడిని (లేదా ఆకలితో ఉన్న మనిషిని) పట్టించుకోకుండా, ప్రజలు రాతి విగ్రహాలకు గుళ్ళలో కుప్పలు కుప్పలుగా ఆహారాన్ని నైవేద్యంగా పెడుతున్నారు. ఆ రాతి విగ్రహాలు నిజంగా దేవుళ్ళైతే ఆ ఆహారాన్ని తినాలి కదా? ప్రాణమున్న జీవుడే దేవుడని, విగ్రహారాధన కంటే ఆకలితో ఉన్నవారికి అన్నం పెట్టడం గొప్ప అని వేమన భావం.
