Meaning
In English
A person who constantly worries, 'When will I have plenty? When will I have fortune?', and obsesses over their status, suffers and rots internally. The verse illustrates how endless anxiety about future prosperity destroys one's present peace of mind.
Modern relevance
In today's competitive world, many people suffer from anxiety and depression caused by the constant pressure to achieve financial success and status. This verse serves as a timeless reminder that obsessing over 'when' we will succeed only leads to mental decay, urging us to find contentment rather than constantly pining for the future.
