దోఁచుకొన్నవాఁడు ద్రోహి యయ్యె
ప్రాపుఁ జూపువాఁడు పరమపుణ్యుం డయ్యె
ప్రాపుఁజెఱచువాఁడు పశువు వేమ!

తన సంపదను ఇతరులు స్వేచ్ఛగా తీసుకునేలా దానం చేసేవాడే నిజమైన దాత, కానీ ఇతరుల సొమ్మును దోచుకునేవాడు ద్రోహి. కష్టాలలో ఉన్నవారికి అండగా నిలిచేవాడు పుణ్యాత్ముడు కాగా, ఆ అండను చెడగొట్టేవాడు పశువుతో సమానమని వేమన భావం.
