ఉన్నతమైన ద్విజ కులములో (బ్రాహ్మణ వంశంలో) పుట్టి, ఆ కుల గౌరవంతో వెలుగొందుతున్నవాడు కేవలం తన గొప్పతనాన్ని చూసుకుంటే సరిపోదు. తాను స్వయంగా జ్ఞానాన్ని పొంది తరించడమే కాకుండా, ఇతరులను కూడా అజ్ఞానం నుండి దాటించి తరింపజేయాలి. అలా చేయలేని వాడు బ్రతికి ఉన్నా, చనిపోయినా లోకానికి ఏమీ ఉపయోగం లేదు; అతని జన్మ నిరర్థకం.
