దశరథుడు రామునికి పట్టాభిషేకం చేసి రాజును చేయాలని సంకల్పించాడు. కానీ విధి వశాత్తు రాముడు అడవులకు వెళ్ళి జడలు ధరించాల్సి వచ్చింది. మానవులు ఒకటి తలిస్తే, దైవం మరొకటి తలుస్తుంది. మానవ ప్రయత్నం కంటే దైవ నిర్ణయమే బలమైనదని భావం.
