నీటిలో దిగితే తప్ప దాని లోతు తెలియని విధంగానే, ధర్మాన్ని ఆచరించే వానికి తప్ప ఇతరులకు దాని గొప్పతనం తెలియదు. కేవలం ప్రాపంచిక కష్టాలలో మునిగి తేలేవారికి ధర్మ సూక్ష్మము అర్థం కాదు. అనుభవపూర్వకమైన జ్ఞానమే నిజమైన జ్ఞానమని భావం.

Just as one cannot gauge the depth of water without entering it, one cannot understand the true nature of Dharma (righteousness) without practicing it.
