దెలియలేనట్టి యజ్ఞాని తేజమెల్ల
తలనుఁ బాసిన వెంట్రుకవలెను జూడ
భుక్తి ముక్తులు హీనమైపోవు వేమ!

భావం · Meaning
వేమన బోధించిన ఆత్మజ్ఞానాన్ని తెలుసుకోలేని అజ్ఞాని ఎంత గొప్పవాడైనా, అతని తేజస్సు తల నుండి రాలిన వెంట్రుక వలె నిష్ప్రయోజనమైనది. ఆత్మజ్ఞానం లేని వానికి ఇహలోక సుఖము (భుక్తి) గానీ, పరలోక మోక్షము (ముక్తి) గానీ దక్కవు, అవి రెండు హీనమైపోతాయి.

Even if a person possesses great status or brilliance, if they lack the self-knowledge taught by Vemana, they are as insignificant as a hair fallen from the head. Without this wisdom, an ignorant person loses both the enjoyment of worldly life (Bhukti) and the possibility of spiritual liberation (Mukti).
