Meaning
In English
The wise one who understands the secret that God resides within oneself never deviates from the righteous path in this world. Without the need for physical travel or pilgrimage ('without moving a foot'), he instantly attains the Divine through inner stillness and realization.
Modern relevance
In a modern world obsessed with external validation and searching for happiness in material possessions or distant travels, this verse reminds us that true peace and divinity lie within. It encourages self-reflection and inner stillness (meditation) as the most efficient 'path' to spiritual fulfillment, rather than frantic external activity.
