సత్యమింతలేక చారుఁడయ్యె
ద్విజుఁ డనుకొనుఁదాదు తేజమింతయు లేక

ఇతరుల ధనమునకు ఆశపడి చేయి చాచుచు, సత్యము కొంచెమైనను లేక గూఢచారి వలె తిరుగుచుండును. బ్రహ్మతేజస్సు ఏమాత్రము లేకపోయినను తాను బ్రాహ్మణుడనని చెప్పుకొనుట వ్యర్థము. గుణము లేని కులము నిష్ప్రయోజనము.

A person who greedily stretches his hand for others' wealth and lacks truthfulness is like a spy or deceiver. It is futile for such a person to claim he is a noble 'Dvija' (Brahmin) when he possesses absolutely no spiritual brilliance or inner light. True nobility lies in character, not in empty claims.
