మనిషి పుట్టేటప్పుడు ఏమీ తేకుండా దిగంబరంగా పుడతాడు, చనిపోయేటప్పుడు కూడా ఏమీ తీసుకుపోకుండా దిగంబరంగానే వెళ్తాడు. ఈ మధ్యలో భూమిపై జీవించే కొద్ది కాలం కూడా, ఏదీ శాశ్వతం కాదని గ్రహించకుండా, ఇతరులకు సహాయం చేయకుండా స్వార్థంతో బ్రతుకుతున్నాడు. కనీసం బ్రతికి ఉన్న నాలుగు రోజులైనా పరులకు ఉపకారం చేయాలన్నది ఈ పద్య భావం.
