శ్రీకాళహస్తిలో సాలీడు (నేత పురుగు) శివలింగముపై తన గూడును అల్లి స్వామిని ఎండనుండి రక్షించింది. దానికి వేదాలు తెలియవు, శాస్త్రాలు రావు, కానీ తన నిజమైన భక్తితోనే అది శాశ్వతమైన మోక్షాన్ని (జ్ఞానజీవమును) పొందింది. భగవంతుని మెప్పించడానికి పాండిత్యం కంటే నిష్కల్మషమైన భక్తి ముఖ్యమని భావం.
