Mere accumulation of scriptures, growing matted hair, wearing tiger skins, holding staffs, or carrying countless begging bags serves no purpose. These external symbols of asceticism are simply a physical burden and a waste of effort. True salvation (Moksha) cannot be attained through such outward displays without inner realization.
