గత జన్మలో పుణ్య కార్యములు చేయని పాపాత్ముడు ఈ జన్మలో ధనము కావాలని ఆశపడటం వ్యర్థము. అది విత్తనాలు నాటడం మర్చిపోయి, పంట కోయడానికి సిద్ధపడిన వాని చందము వంటిది. కారణం లేకుండా ఫలితం ఆశించరాదు.

A person who has not performed good deeds in the past but desires wealth now is acting in vain. It is exactly like a farmer trying to harvest a crop without ever having sown the seeds. One cannot expect the fruit (wealth) without having planted the seed (merit/effort).
