భావం · Meaning
జడలు పెంచి, ఒళ్ళంతా విభూతి పూసుకున్నంత మాత్రాన ఎవరూ కామాన్ని జయించలేరు. బాహ్య వేషధారణతో సన్యాసులమని చెప్పుకునే వారి పవిత్ర వస్త్రాలు (ముంజికోకలు), పొట్టకూటి కోసం వేషాలు వేసే వేశ్యల వస్త్రాల కంటే ఏమాత్రం గొప్పవి కావు. మనసులో వైరాగ్యం లేనిదే బయటి వేషం వృథా అని భావం.

Merely growing long matted hair and smearing ash on the body does not grant one the power to conquer lust. Without internal purity, the sacred robes of such false ascetics are no better than the garments of a prostitute—tools used for deception and livelihood rather than true spirituality. True renunciation lies in the mind, not in the attire.
